How to add an SMS Channel

New SMS Channel

The new SMS channel utilizes Twilio to enable communication with the mobile network, which means a Twilio account and phone number is required; phone numbers can be purchased through Twilio.

To add the new SMS channel

1. Navigate to your assistant's dashboard and click on the Channels icon.
2. Click the Add Channel button, and click Add Channel against the SMS Channel option. 
3. Input your Twilio registered phone number, account SID (string identifier), and authorization token.
4. Click OK to save.
   Once added, your users can communicate with your assistant using their mobile phone and SMS in the same way they may already use Webchat or Microsoft Teams.
