Prompt Configuration for AI Summarization

IMPORTANT NOTE: The information below is for advanced users only and we would advise caution before making any changes to the AI prompt.

Expert Assist has an option to use AI to assist with publishing Expert Assist questions to QnA. As part of this, a prompt has been created and it is our recommended AI prompt for publishing Expert Assist questions to QnA. However, if required, this prompt and other related values can be changed. If required, any changes made can be reverted to their defaults by clicking on the Revert button in the top-right of the screen.

The prompt configuration page can be accessed by:

  1. Click Expert Assist from the left-hand navigation menu.
  2. Click the Prompt Configuration button in the top-right of the screen.

We would recommend that none of the values set within the prompt configuration are changed, but if required you can make the below updates.

  • System: Describes how you want the Tenjin AI to behave, and how you want it to handle the information it is given. Used at the beginning of the prompt to prime the model with context, instructions, or other information relevant to your assistant.
  • Prompt Configuration: Set clear instructions, telling the Tenjin AI the instructions it needs to generate a result. Our research suggests that telling the model the task you want it to do at the beginning of the prompt, before sharing additional contextual information or examples, can help produce higher-quality outputs.
  • Temperature: Controls randomness. Lowering the temperature means that the Tenjin AI will produce more repetitive and deterministic responses. Increasing the temperature will result in more unexpected or creative responses.
  • Max Tokens: Set a limit on the number of tokens per response. The input supports a maximum of 4,000 tokens shared between the prompt (including system message, examples, message history, and user query) and the model's response. One token is roughly 4 characters for typical English text.

There is more detailed information about prompt configuration and the values that can be changed within the associated page's inline help and the more detailed help popup, which is accessible by clicking the Help button in the top-right of the prompt configuration screen.
