Publishing an Expert Assist Question to QnA

Sourcing questions and answers from users within your organization is a great way to address knowledge gaps and improve the quality and accuracy of information, but sometimes you may want to publish that information to QnA, selecting or curating a single answer to a question and making it easier to find and display within your Tenjin assistant.

The instructions below detail how to publish an Expert Assist question to QnA within the administration area, using one or more provided answers with the optional assistance of AI to help consolidate multiple answers.

  1. Click Expert Assist from the left-hand navigation menu.
  2. Click the ellipsis (three dots) button on the far right of the question you would like to edit, then select Create QnA from the drop-down list.
  3. Within the popup that appears, the question will be displayed with the answers listed below with their current score. If an answer has been selected as the preferred answer, it will appear with a green tick and also be selected for use.
  4. Select the answers you would like to use when creating the new question and answer knowledge item. You also have the option of whether to use AI Compose, which will help create an answer for you from those selected.
  5. Once you have selected the applicable answers, click Next.
  6. If you have selected AI Compose, you will see the answer appear. If you did not, all the answers will be entered, separated by line breaks.
  7. If required, you can now edit the answer that appears on the right.
  8. Once you are happy with the answer, click the Topic button and select the topic you would like to save the new QnA item in.
  9. Once you are happy with the QnA item, click Submit.
  10. You will be taken to the QnA editor with your new item appearing at the top of the page. If required, you can make additional changes by clicking the Edit button; you can select follow-on prompts, action links, add metadata, or simply make additional changes to the question and/or answer.
  11. If you did make additional changes, don't forget to confirm those changes by clicking OK.
  12. Once complete, click Save in the top-right of the screen to publish the new question and answer pair to QnA.
  13. Once published, a QnA Created tag will be displayed against the published Expert Assist question.
