Asking an Expert Assist Question Within the Workspace

Expert Assist questions are requests for knowledge, giving other users the ability to submit answers. Once a number of answers have been submitted, the knowledge seeker can select the correct answer.

The information below is specific to the workspace pages.

  1. When you are on the workspace home page, click the Ask a Question button within the questions section.
  2. Enter your question into the popup then click the Next button.
  3. A list of similar questions will appear, displayed to make sure the question being asked has not already been asked.
  4. Assuming your question has not already been asked, click the Next button to continue.
  5. If any matching tags were identified, these will be displayed, otherwise you can add your own or remove those that have appeared, making sure you categorize your question accurately. The tags selected must be accurate to make sure the relevant experts are informed and can see the question.
  6. If you already know the answer, or have an idea of what the answer could be, toggle the Suggest an answer button and type the proposed answer into the answer input.
  7. Once complete, click the Submit button.
  8. The new question will be displayed in the Expert Assist list of questions, where your colleagues can add their suggested answers. If configured within flow, experts will also be notified of your new question.
