QnA Content Filters
At the top of the QnA content page are two filter options, each with a number showing how many question-and-answer pairs will be shown if the filter is enabled:
- Filter to changes - This allows you to filter the QnA content to only those items you've changed, meaning you can quickly review all the recent updates before saving your changes.
- Filter to suggestions - Whilst your assistant is querying the QnA knowledge, if there is a question that gets asked a lot, but not specified within your QnA knowledge base, Tenjin will make its best guess for which answer is correct and provide the question as a suggestion. You can then either accept or decline the suggestion. This filter gives you easy access to review and action all suggestions, which in turn will improve the success rate of your assistant.
Matching Threshold
When users ask your assistant questions, it will only return answers with a match threshold of 25% or above; the score given to a match indicates the confidence Tenjin has that the answer to the question is correct.
Although we recommend a match threshold of 25%, there is the ability to modify the match threshold percentage value. There is more information about this within Tenjin's help, as mentioned below.
To access the match threshold percentage value and associated help, please follow the instructions below:
- Navigate to your QnA knowledge base by clicking QnA in the left-hand column.
- Click the More button and select Properties from the menu.
- Within the popup dialogue, you can edit the matching threshold percentage value and view the associated help.
- Once finished, you can click OK or Cancel to close the popup dialogue, depending upon whether you have made any changes you would like to save.
Query and Test QnA
Within both the main QnA knowledge page and an assistant's QnA skill, there is an option to query and test your question-and-answer content. This lets you query your QnA content with the same natural language processing the assistant uses. If you're using the QnA version it will query all content, and if you're using the assistant version, it will only query the linked topics.
The query dialog will show the query entered, the topics being queried, any matching QnA content, along with the confidence (match) percentage. The default match threshold is 25%, meaning any matches below 25% will not appear within the assistant when a user is asking questions. Often an expected result is not shown in the assistant because its match is not high enough. You can use query dialog to check if this is the case. If you do not get a good match to your question (below 25%), consider adding additional questions as alternative phrases to the correct answer, which will help increase the chances of a high match score for a wider range of possible questions.
